Services

Every dog — and every training journey — is different. That’s why we offer a range of programs designed to meet dogs and their families where they are, whether you're raising a new puppy, addressing specific behaviors, or working toward advanced goals.

You’re welcome to explore the options below, but every training plan ultimately begins with a conversation. Our trainers will learn about your dog, your goals, and your lifestyle, then help you choose the path that makes the most sense.

Wide-Net Introduction (Video Section)

A Warm Welcome & Big-Picture Overview

This section is designed to be the widest, most welcoming point of entry on the Services page. Before visitors try to understand specific programs or formats, they need reassurance that they’ve landed in the right place — no matter what they’re dealing with.

The goal of this section is to greet potential clients, establish immediate trust, and communicate Dogpanion’s depth of experience without asking the viewer to make any decisions yet. A short, friendly video allows people to see real faces, hear your tone, and feel oriented before moving further down the page. This video should feel conversational and reassuring — not salesy. Think of it as the moment where someone says, “Okay, these are real people, they know what they’re doing, and they can help us.”

The video should briefly touch on:

1. That they’re in the right place, regardless of their dog’s challenges or goals
2. Dogpanion’s experience and credibility (45+ years combined experience, 5000 dogs trained)
3. Your team of certified trainers and commitment to ongoing education
4. The idea that there are multiple paths forward, and you help guide clients to the right one

This section is not meant to explain individual services yet. Its purpose is to build confidence and create openness, so that visitors are ready to explore the specific training options below.

In-Home Training Options

Some behaviors are best addressed where they happen — at home. For dogs struggling with issues like fence fighting, resource guarding, or other household challenges, training in their everyday environment can make all the difference.

With our in-home options, your dog stays home while we bring structure and guidance directly into your routine. Depending on your goals and level of involvement, you can choose between two in-home training paths below:

IN-HOME PRIVATE TRAINING

One-on-One Coaching in Your Home

DAY TRAINING

Structured Training Without You Present

In-Home Private Training

Personalized in-home private training is ideal for owners who want to be hands-on and actively involved in their dog’s training.

You’ll work directly with one of our trainers in one-on-one sessions where she teaches you how to train your dog effectively.
Best suited for addressing behaviors such as:

Jumping

Mouthing

Door dashing

Leash manners

Recall

Potty training

Chewing & destruction

Anxiety and Aggression

Dog or human reactivity

Resource guarding

Fence fighting

Barking at noises inside or outside

Dogs struggling with behaviors such as anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity, or fence fighting are best addressed in-home with private training sessions and the owner present.

Service Dog Training

Comprehensive, standards-based training for dogs preparing for public access work and task-specific support.

We are here to help you train your service dog every step of the way. All training is private, one-on-one, and we highly suggest joining Group Classes alongside private work.

Please understand that service dog training is a serious commitment that typically takes 1 -2 years to complete.

Here are the steps:

1.

Initial Evaluation:

60-minute session in a public space to confirm your dog is a good candidate for service dog work.

2.

Training process

Private one-on-one work (with suggested group classes) over 1–2 years to meet service dog standards and your specific needs

3.

Final certification

Assessment and testing to confirm your dog is fully trained to assist you, attested under penalty of perjury

4.

Ongoing maintenance

Periodic check-ins to ensure your dog’s skills are maintained

We no longer source service dogs; this program is for people who already have a dog they are training to become a service dog.

Call or text us to get started — we’re happy to talk with you!

Initial Evaluation: $95 for 60 minute in-public session
Ongoing: $95 per session

In addition to your private training sessions, you'll be encouraged to join our Group Classes for more hands-on real-world practice.
