Dog Board and Training

Our Board & Train programs were designed to get your training goals accomplished quickly but set you up for success! We want to be sure our hard work and your money pay off long-term!

During our Board and Train program in San Diego, your pup lives in the comfort of owner Aimee’s home and works with one of our dog trainers for training and overnight care. Your dog will learn rules, structure, and obedience in real-world environments that will help unleash the best in your dog. Over the weekend, your pup gets a chance to attend our group class. Includes daily training tutorials videos filmed with your pup showing you their daily training progress, 1-2 full graduation private lessons, and unlimited group classes up to six months. (Lesson is conducted in the pup’s home.)

10- Day

Price $2,250

Teaches pups basic manners and obedience. For dogs 12 weeks olds and older. Does not include behavior problems such as aggression or out of sight obedience.

Program Includes: 10 days of board and train combined with supervised daycare with highly trained dogs and other dog trainers for exposures. Common behaviors addressed during the board and train program include but are not limited to: Name recognition, Sit/ stay (leash length), Down/ stay (leash length), Come, Impulse control, Place (bed)/ stay (leash length), Polite greetings (no jumping), Polite doors, Introduction to leash manners, Puppy biting tips, Crate training, Socialization and exercise

2- Weeks

Price $4,500

Teaches pups basic manners and obedience. For dogs 12 weeks olds and older. Does not include behavior problems such as aggression or out of sight obedience.

Program Includes: 15 days of board and train combined with supervised daycare with highly trained dogs and other dog trainers for exposures. Common behaviors addressed during the board and train program include but are not limited to: Sit/ stay (10-15 feet), Down/ stay (l10-15 feet), Come, Impulse control, Place (bed)/ stay (10-15 feet), Polite greetings (no jumping), Polite doors, Leash manners (walking on a loose leash), Crate training, learning to be contained and settle, Socialization and exercise, Correction of simple behavior problems such as jumping, barking, or pulling

3- Weeks

Price $6,750

Teaching your pup intermediate manners and obedience. For dogs 4 months and older or who have passed a placement.

Program Includes: 21 days of board and train combined with supervised daycare with highly trained dogs and other dog trainers for exposures. Common behaviors addressed during the board and train program include but are not limited to: Sit/ implied stay from distance (15-25 feet), Down/ implied stay from distance (15-25 feet), Come, Impulse control, Place (bed)/ implied stay (15-25 feet), Polite greetings (no jumping), Polite doors, Leash manners (walking on a loose leash), Crate training, learning to be contained and settle, Socialization and exercise, Correction of simple behavior problems such as jumping, barking, or pulling, Exposure to generalization of different environments (Aimee’s or the dog trainer’s home, neighborhood walking, and the Hub Marketplace, Field trips to a store or coffee shop, Introduction to out of sight obedience (in a controlled indoor environment)

We offer all different lengths of programs but our experience shows that no matter how long a dog stays and trains with us, without the proper follow through by the pet parents there will be no measurable short-term or long-term results. This is why we choose to work exclusively with pet parents who are 100% committed to participating in the private training sessions and UNLIMITED group classes we provide.
Your pup will be one of 2-3 board and train dogs living and training in owner Aimee’s home working with one of our trainers. Your pup will also meet/ be exposed to daycare dogs, boarding dogs, and resident dogs. We keep the program very small to ensure that your dog receives plenty of training, attention, play, and fun time.
While your dog stays with us, we will send daily updates, videos, and photos of your dog’s progress Your dog will get plenty of training, exercise, play, and downtime. What makes our program unique is that over the weekend, your dog will attend group class and have unlimited access for 6 months to attend group classes. Our board and train program combined with group classes aims to teach your dog new behaviors and reinforce them in controlled environments, with the goal of not just transferring those behaviors back into your home environment but make them long lasting.
We include a pick-up and drop-off with the program, and, at the time of drop-off, you will have your first go-home lesson. This is where we teach you everything we have shown your dog. It’s imperative that you remain consistent with what we have shown your dog so that you maximize the results of the program. Don’t worry — we also send you a very detailed recap via email for your convenience.
Because the training did not occur at your house, there will be a transition period where your dog learns the new behaviors apply to your home as well. Our trainers work with you to make sure you understand how to upkeep and maintain the new behaviors at home which increases the probability for long-term success.
We can work on almost any behavior! Our clients have had great success with potty training, learning how to walk well on leash, reducing leash reactivity, learning not to jump on people, resource/food guarding, excessive barking, mouthing, nipping, learning to come when called, fear based behaviors, and many more.
After booking your dates, a trainer will call you to discuss what behaviors you’d like us to work on with what cues you’d like us to use. The trainer can also help give a clear expectation on what level we are able to work the behaviors up to with the time we have.
