More Than Pet People

Dogpanion enriches the lives of dogs and their people each and every day.  Since its inception in 2016 Dogpanion was the "go to, paw forward", for puppies and dogs. New owner, Aimee, wants to keep Dogpanion “pawing forward”. She welcomes a unique dog training and enrichment center where creating constant, lifelong learning opportunities for you and your dog is her one and only priority. She along with everyone involved, don’t believe that the training and development of your dog should be an afterthought or add-on. Training your dog is our passion and our purpose.  It’s what we do.

We practice positive, science based methods (with feeling!) that emphasize communication, mutual respect, consistency, and real-life training. We believe that methods that focus on dominance, punishment and/or tools that cause pain, are outdated, can do more harm than good, and are never necessary. The most effective way to teach and motivate dogs is with rewards such as praise, play, affection, and/or intermittent treats. Our techniques will help you create an invaluable bond with your dog that will last a lifetime.

DOG DAYCARE

At Dogpanion, we take playtime to a whole new level. While traditional daycares offer free-form play, we believe in adding a touch of learning to your pup’s day. Our enrichment- based daycare offers a stimulating, social environment where dogs can learn and explore. This provides consistency and growth for your pup. Here, dogs acquire new skills, gain confidence, and improve their self- control. We know you’ve put in the effort to teach them manners, and our daycare follows the same rules, reinforcing good choices and gently redirecting or ignoring naughty ones. Playgroups are tailored to temperament and energy level and supervised by our compassionate and experienced long-term staff. Join us and discover a daycare that goes beyond the ordinary, leaving tails wagging and hearts happy!

TRAINING

We teach you to craft a great relationship with your dog using humane and force-free dog training techniques. Proven effective teaching methods address your learning style so we set both the canine and human up for optimal success. All of this with some of San Diego’s most experienced certified dog trainers motivate you to get ready for a great experience! 

We provide instruction through innovative dog training classes, board and training, or custom private training sessions.  Whatever style matches your best learning environment, we have it covered!

BOARDING

Evening playtime, specialized attention, daytime romps...  Dogpanion offers an alternative to the traditional boarding kennel for your pet’s holidays away from home.  Your dog will spend their days in the daycare and their nights in the company of familiar canine friends and the owner Aimee. Our environment is geared toward creating a calmer, more familiar small pack environment to make your dog’s overnight stay as comfortable and as stress-free as possible.
